Even as superstar Rajnikant’s Tamil biggie Sivaji gets set for a Friday release in Bangalore, confusion prevails over the number of prints to hit the City.
H D Gangaraju, former president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce the Karnataka distributor of the hyped AVM production directed by Shankar, said the movie would be screened in three multiplexes in the City, apart from other stand-alone theatres.
Sivaji has generated unprecedented interest across south India. But the Karnataka Film Chamber norms  that stipulate restrictions on non-Kannada movies in the State  could prove a hurdle for a wide release. Mr Gangaraju said Sivaji would hit theatres outside Bangalore only after two weeks.
Narayana Gowda T A, President, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, said that as per the rules of the Film Chamber, not more than four prints of a non-Kannada movie could be allowed in the State. “If this is violated, we will picket theatres screening Sivaji and seize prints,†he said. Source:Deccanherald
