David Hopper, the U.S. Consul General in Chennai, has lots of Tamil friends. They recommended a Tamil film to him. That was ‘Sivaji.’
Rajini’s fans as well as general public get thrills in watching the first show of the first day of a Rajini film. Like his friends advised him, Hopper was given the opportunity to watch the first day’s first show by Sathyam theatres.
He was surprised by the rousing yells and reactions of the audience the minute Rajini appeared on screen. Coming out of the theatre, he said, “I have seen many films in the US, including international films. What I experienced when seeing ‘Sivaji’ was something new. I have never seen so much craze for an actor!”
Super stars of other languages are showing the same keenness to watch ‘Sivaji.’ Malayalam actor Dilip enjoyed watching ‘Sivaji’ in Chennai. Mammooty, who is busy acting in ‘Pazhasi Raja,’ watched a special show of ‘Sivaji.’ He is smart with words. “Commercially, they have taken it very well,” he said of ‘Sivaji.’
With Malaysian Prime Minister Datto Samuel, Ajith watched the film in Malaysia. Vijay watched ‘Sivaji’ with Mahesh Babu in Hyderabad. Mohanlal is the only one who has not seen the film till now. He was first choice to do the villain role done by Suman. Source: cinesouth
