Within five weeks of its release, the Rajinikanth starrer is being dragged into yet another controversy. A Congress party worker in Tamil Nadu, Satyamurthy, has filed a PIL in the Madras High Court about a scene in ‘Sivaji’, where the villain is shown to have portraits of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in his office.
Satyamurthy has filed a defamation case against State Information Minister Parithi Ilamvazhuthi, the Chennai censor board, Sivaji’s producer AVM Saravanan, director Shankar and superstar Rajinikanth.
Satyamurthy has demanded the removal of the objectionable scene before further screenings. He is also demanding a compensation of Rs 50 crore, since the film is already a big hit. Source:Bollyvista
