The legendary Tamil playback singer T M Soundararajan, popularly known as TMS, would be felicitated at a function organised in this city by senior DMK leader M K Azhagiri.
Describing TMS as “uncrowned king of the film world”, Azhagiri, also a fan of the singer, said he had requested his father and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, Music Director M S Viswanathan, film directors Rama Narayanan, Balachandar, actor Vivek, singer P Suseela and music composer Vairamuthu to attend the function.
The function would be most probably held on March 24. He said the function was being organised on the advice of the Chief Minister himself.
Soundarajan who was also present at the press meet said “re-mix” of old songs only showed that those involved did not have originality.”They are spoiling the old songs, and re-mix songs come with worse quality. That is what people feel”, he said. Source: Hindu
