IT major HCL Technologies today announced the launch of Electro Magnetic Compatibility and Durability Test Lab at its facility at suburban Ambattur.
Addressing reporters here today, HCL Corporate Vice-President (Engineering and R&D Services) G H Rao said this was the first of its kind private technology facility to obtain the ISO/IEC 17025 from the National Board of Accreditation of Testing and Calibration Laboratories, India.
The NABL accredited laboratory allows the company to offer full lifecycle product development services to global original equipment manufacturers and expands the scope of its product design services to cover compliance testing, he said.
He also said that the lab could cater to sectors like medical devices, consumer electronics, automotive, scientific equipment manufacturers, power, networking, telecom and other such companies.
The lab had the capability to run multiple engineering services at the same time and would result in significant cost and time savings for the clients, empowering them to take their products to the market soon, he added. Source: economictimes.indiatimes
