Next time you take your kids out shopping, you might want to check out the new Reebok Junior store.
From Ben 10 school bags to Power puff t-shirts; this store that opened on Friday is a kiddie’s haven. And guess who came for the store opening? He is from Gujarat. He is part of the Indian cricket team and his brother is getting married soon. Yes, you got it right, Yusuf Pathan.
Yusuf patiently answered the questions that the journalists posed at him. Later, on his ride back to the airport, Expresso caught up with the younger Pathan. “I like Chennai and the people here. Especially, the food. I love idly and dosa,” he said.
And what about Tamil cinema? “Well, I watch dubbings of Tamil movies and I enjoy the acting. Rajinikanth is one of my favourites.” Yusuf said that he was getting bored of all the training and he is waiting for the matches to begin. And about his brother’s wedding, “Well, I have heard more about it from the media,” he said before getting off at another Reebok outlet.
We then headed back to the Reebok Junior store for a closer look at their product line-up. Footballs, belts, caps, shoes, and socks – they have it all. The Spiderman shoes looked particularly cute. And there is a 25 percent inaugural week discount going on. The bags are priced from Rs 1,400 onwards and the shoes are priced from Rs 1,299 onwards.
