Mozhi, produced by Prakash Raj featured Prithviraj, Jyothika and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles, successfully completed a 100-day run. Directed by Radhamohan, the success of Mozhi brought a fresh lease of life in Kollywood.

It was the perfect Saturday night party at Mayajaal where families, directors, actors and industry bigwigs gathered together and Prakash Raj was the perfect host. His movie ‘Mozhi’ the film which put a smile on everyone’s face has notched up 100 days and Prakash Raj threw a party where he and his wife made sure everyone had a blast.

A very special guest that evening was Anjai Arora, a visually challenged lawyer, who is the legal advisor, civil aviation, New Delhi. Praising the storyline of ‘Mozhi’, which deals with romance in the life of a speech and hearing impaired girl, Arora said that ‘Mozhi’ is the most creative expression of a subject which usually makes people think only of the negative aspects of disability. ‘‘The film should be made in other languages since people with disability too have the same emotions as all.’’

Earlier, Swarnamalya, Prasanna, Prithviraj, director Radha Mohan welcomed the bigwigs of the industry. Pyramid Sai Mira’s Natarajan and Swaminathan, director actor Sunder C, directors Balu Mahendra, Ameer, Samudrakani, Perarasu, actor Sandhya, Vairamuthui, Vidya Sagar, ‘editor’ Mohan and his son, director Raja were spotted at the venue.

Radhamohan says, “I am happy with the success. I thank everyone including my producer Prakash Raj for making the movie count at the box office”.

On his inspiration to direct Mozhi, Radhamohan says, “When I was in school, I used to see a deaf and a mute girl in our colony. At that time, I used to wonder how she would communicate with others and what was on her mind. Somehow, her image never left me. It propelled me to direct Mozhi. I sought the help of Ability Foundation and learnt the sign language too”.
