Dinamalar Chennai Edition office at Anna Salai was attacked this morning by the cadres of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal.
An article about Thirumavalavan, chief od Viduthalai Chiruthaigal had appeared yesterday in Dinamalar. Enraged by the contents the cadres have descended on the publication office in the morning pretending to enquire an address and attcked the security personnel manniing the gate. Then they entered the office and broke the classess and mayhem was let loose on the office premises. Policemen on duty were injured. Vehicles were damaged and two police personel were injured.
Additional police arrived at the scene and arrested two persons. The arrested were identified as Viduthalai Selvan Deputy secretary of the Triplicane Divison of the outfit and Nagarajan blonging to the same outfit. Cases has been registered undersections 307 attempted to murder. Police are searching the persons who have fled the scene. Source: chennaionline
