Cybernet-SlashSupport (CSS) is setting up a near shore tech support facility at Wroclaw in Poland. This will be CSS first facility in Europe. The new facility in Poland will have a built-up space of 10,000 sq. ft.

CSS, which provides IT services, including tech support, remote IMS (information management system) and software testing and development, employs around 5,000 professionals at its offshore facilities in Chennai and Coimbatore.

The company also has a facility in the U.S. and a redundancy centre in Singapore.

“We looked at Bulgaria and Romania as options for our first near-shore facility but decided to finalise on Poland,” according to Shiva Ramani, co-founder and CEO.

The work culture in Wroclaw was similar to Chennai, and, hence, we were quite comfortable with it, he added.

“This town is also hungry for companies to bring in new technologies. We will have greater access to the technical talent we are looking for,” Mr. Ramani said.

The Poland facility, he said, would become operational by the middle of February. “We will be investing one million euro in the facility,” Mr. Ramani said.

The facility would initially begin operations with 100 people.

The headcount would more than double within 24 months, he added.

“We will be providing German and French language support from our Poland facility,” Mr. Ramani said.

Recently, CSS had announced a strategic partnership with Bergler ICT, a Netherlands-based IT solutions company, to provide offshore tech support and infrastructure management services to Bergler’s European customers.
