A new brand of calcium enriched ice cream from Hindustan Lever was launched nationally at a function in the city on Wednesday by well known actress Khusboo. She said there was a lot of misconception that children would develop cold and cough if they ate ice creams. “There is no link between ice cream and cold,” she said.
Renowned nutritionist Bhuvaneswari said ice creams were better than junk food, to which children had become addicted. Sailesh Venkatesan, head of ice creams division, Hindustan Lever, claimed that the new brand had nutrition value.
