Tamil Folk Singer and Actress Paravai Muniyamma Passes Away
Tamil actress and folk singer Paravai Muniyamma died in Madurai on Sunday March 29, 2020 at her residence. Paravai Muniyamma passed away due to age-related illness. Paravai Muniyamma made her acting debut Singam Pola from Chiyaan Vikram’s Dhool and featured in over 50 films with stars like Ajith Kumar, Dhanush, Vishal, Sivakarthikeyan and STR among others.
Apart from singing and acting, Paravai Muniyamma also hosted a cooking show on a popular television channel.
In March 2019, she was honoured with the Kalaimamani title by the Tamil Nadu government. Parvai Muniyamma is survived by a son and two grandchildren.
