U-certificate which signifies that the film is suitable for viewing by all has been awarded to ‘Krishnaveni Panjaalai’ by the Censor Board. Similarly the Tamilnadu government has waived off the Tax, which is done for good Tamil movies that depict our culture. Members, who viewed this movie for Tax Free endorsement, said that they were touched by the movie and it would take a couple of days for them to come out of this feeling. This comment about Krishnaveni Panjaalai has created a lot of expectations about the movie within the film circle.
Songs, “Aalaikari Panjaalaikari….” penned by Vairamuthu and “Un Kankal Kannaadi..” penned by Thamarai are heard everywhere – city & villages. Both songs are among the most requested songs in the FM radios. Another song “Aathadi Oru Parava Parakkutha” apart from being liked in Tamilnadu has found a place in the TOP 10 songs in Sri Lanka. Krishnaveni Panjaalai songs are also among the most requested songs in Singapore & Malaysian FM radios. Recently a special program on ‘Krishnaveni Panjaalai’ was telecast in a TV Channel, the shooting of which was done in a cotton mill. The mill workers who the met the crew there unfeignedly asked, “When are you going to show our movie to us?” The crew were impressed by the eagerness shown by these mill workers to see their own life story. The crew then played the songs for them to watch and promised that the soon to be released ‘Krishnaveni Panjaalai’ would be a treat for them.
