Director Siddharth Chandrasekhar’s Note
Working with still images all these years, little did I imagine that one day, my visuals would walk and talk, let alone sing and dance! The experience has given me a tremendous learning.
As a novice in the field, you are at once filled with the desire to give it your all, and at the same time, despair at every small setback.
I was fortunate to have people who stood steadfastly beside me on the darkest days as in my happiest hours.
Key among them was my producer, Kalpathi S Aghoram, who had the courage to trust this novice, who had lots of ideas but little experience.
There would have been no occasion to even write this note, if i did not acknowledge the contributions of Vaali Sir, Thaamarai Madam, Dr. Burn and Dinesh for all their support. Naresh Iyer for being a vital link, Soundar for splendid cinematography, Saravanan for slick editing and my entire Bale Pandiya Team whose faith in the project was the real bedrock of my inspiration.
Working with Devan, the music director and my long-time friend was a unique experience. His inspiration is enitrely auditory, mine visual. But the fusion of the two has been seamless and interesting.
This album is a product of one such friendship.
We hope you enjoy listening to this album, as we did putting it together.
