Adobe India, a global creative software developer, plans to expand its facilities in Noida and Bangalore with an investment of over $100 million over the next five years. It is also planning to increase its R&D headcount in India from the present 1,000 to about 1,300 plus by the end of 2007.
“Adobe had announced an investment of $200 million over five years of which $100 million will be invested in expanding its facilities in Noida and Bangalore,” Mr Sandeep Mehrotra, country sales manager, Adobe Systems, India, told reporters here on Monday.
Adobe India, unveiled the Creative Suite 3 product line in Hyderabad, claiming to provide designers and developers with options for print, web, mobile, interactive, film, and video production.
“This is the biggest launch in Adobe’s 25 year history. There are six configurations of Adobe Creative Suite 3. These include Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium and Design Standard editions; Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium and Web Standard editions; and Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium,” Mr Mehrotra said.
Rounding up the product line is Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection which combines 12
of Adobe’s new design and development applications.
“In a step to come closer to consumers, we are increasing our Adobe authorised resellers from the present 50 to 70 and we will take aggressive steps for anti-piracy while undertaking initiatives to educate people,” Mr Mehrotra added.
