Interview of “Lucky Star” Prem, as he is fondly called in sandalwood, and now making his debut in Tamil cinema paired opposite Shriya Saran in the bilingual movie “Chandra”.

• Congratulation on your entry into Tamil Cinema sir, tell us about your family back ground?
I am honored to enter Tamil cinema birth place of cinemas. I don’t have any filmy family background.
• What were the reasons to choose acting as a profession?
From my childhood I loved cinemas I used see a lot of films which created a passion to become an actor
• Take us through your first bilingual movie ‘CHANDRA’?
‘CHANDRA’ is a movie with a royal back ground I am very happy to be a part of it, the movie revolves around the Royal family and its traditions, and movie is a visual treat.
• Interesting incidents and experience on working with such an established actress like Shriya Saran?
First of all I am a very big fan of shriya , I have watched almost every movies of her , super dancer, super performer ,super super co artist ,very simple very friendly as well; as very professional it s my luck to act opposite to her who have worked with superstar sir thanks to my director in a song we started shoot from 7am by the time we finished it was around 1am midnight super energy I was taken back at that time.
• Do you believe in the concept of CHEMISTRY between hero and the heroine?
Performance wise chemistry really helps if you’re comfortable with your co star it really shows on screen and helps to give the best of you to the movie.
• It is reported that you have done passionate and steamy scenes with Shriya in CHANDRA; can you candidly convey how you felt?
As I told she is very friendly at the launch itself she became very friendly and in the sets she use be very friendly with all of them canning those scenes were very much easy coz of her professionalism.
• How challenging is it to work with Director Roopa Iyer?
Roopa is a very good friend of mine, multitalented very hard worker never comprised on sets, and she wants what she wants on the spot, it was my first experience working with a lady director and she proved no lesser than any other director
• You have such a well chiseled body, can you tell us about your fitness regime and your famous six packs.
It’s all because of trainer Krishnamurthy( panipuri kitty) well known international bodybuilder , I used to work out for 8hrs a day with strict diet of veg n non-veg and egg whites it took 6 months to get into it now I am very confident of my body I can shape it as I want.
• Who is your role model in Film industry?
Dr.RAJKUMAR and SUPERSTAR RAJANIKANTH
• What are your ideas on the popular actors endorsing consumer products?
Well it’s their own decisions and commitments, people always copy or believe what their favorite stars do ,so it’s always good to take up social cause ads it will really reach and change a lot.
• Impact of Stalwarts like Rajnikanth and Kamalhaasan in your acting carrier?
Really it impacts a lot, superstar for simplicity and style he shows how an actor should be and ullaganagyan for energy and ideas he shows how an actor can be
• What do you think is the most important aspect for the success of a film, star value or story content?
story is very important ,then only u can give ur best to it and reach people then stars are born and then comes star value
