The TamilNadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TNCCI), has insisted to extend the deadline filing of income tax returns by assesses liable to tax audit and corporates. They have claimed for an extension by at least 2 months.
Mr. S. Rethinavelu, President of the Chamber, said that they have sent the appeal to the Union Finance Minister for extending the deadline upto December31st. He said that the festive season and the time required for the corporate assesses to get accustomed with the enforced e-filing of tax returns were the reasons for their appeal towards extension.
