Chennai-based online company Consim Info Pvt Ltd has announced the receipt of $11.75 million as second round of funding here Tuesday.
Formerly known as BharatMatrimony, Consim Info got the investment from Mayfield Fund, Yahoo and Canaan Partners. The actual investments by each investor and the stakes they bought in Consim Info are not disclosed.
In 2006, the company raised $8.65 million from Yahoo and Canaan Partners.
The US based venture capital fund Mayfield invests in the US, China and India and currently has $2.7 billion under management. It has invested in over 480 companies of which 105 have had initial public offerings and another 160 have been acquired.
Some of Mayfield past impact investments include Compaq, Amgen, SGI, 3COM, Sandisk, Citrix, Cypress Semiconductor, Intuitive Surgical, Web Methods, Tibco, 3PAR and LSI Logic.
In India, Mayfield has earlier invested in Tejas Networks, Bangalore and Seed Fund an early stage technology fund.
Promoted by Murugavel Janakiraman, Consim Info owns websites like Bharatmatrimony.com. clickjobs.com, IndiaProperty.com and IndiaAutomobile.com.
