City-based Multivista Global Limited, a public limited company with three strategic business units including print solutions, will set up a printing unit near here with an investment of Rs 25 crore.

“The printing unit would come up on a built-up area of 1,25,000 sq ft at suburban Kelambakkam and would have a capacity of printing over 30 million books a year,” Company Chairman and Managing Director R S Mani told reporters.

The company has been printing and facilitating distribution of their books not only in India but also in Europe, Asia, Africa and the United States.

Its clientele includes Oxford University Press, Harcourt, Nelson Thornes, Cambridge University Press and Pearson Education, he added.

Multivista, which had three business verticals – print solutions, distribution of industrial products and services and leather shoe manufacturing – had registered a turnover of Rs 62 crore during 2006-07. Of this, the contribution of print solutions was Rs 17 crore.

“The company has targeted a turnover of over Rs 75 crore in the current financial year and manpower strength of about 500 employees,” Mani said. Source: economictimes
