Paresh Mokashi a Marthi director has bagged the best debut director award from the Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial Foundation for his Marathi movie ‘Harish Chandrachi Factory’.
This is the 12th year where the best Indian directorial talent in feature film is being recognised by the Chennai based foundation. The award, comprising Rs. 1.5 Lakh in cash and a memento, will be presented on August 12.
The film was selected from 19 nominations from across the country in various languages including Tamil, Malayalam, Hndi, Kannada and Telugu. The Jury consisted of Sri Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, Sri Kalyanaraman and Sri Gollupudi Maruthi Rao.
Established in 1998, this trust envisages to perpetuate the memory of Gollupudi Srinivas a young director. who tragically passed away in an accident during the shoot of his maiden venture in 1992.
