Mella Sirithai Single Track Release Gallery
The single song “Mella Sirithaai” from Everest Entertainment’s Kalyana Samayal Saadham starring Prasanna and Lekha washington was released today by ThinkMusic in a very fresh manner reflecting the innovative presentation of the song. The song is composed by Arrora and is sung by Haricharan and Chinmayee. It has lyrics by Shakti and Mutthamizh. The movie is produced by Ananth govindan and Arun Vaidyanathan and directed by R.S Prasanna.
Six of the top young directors who have made successful and trendy movies today were the Chief Guests and unveiled the song. Nalan Kumarasamy (Soodhu Kavvum), Karthik Subbaraj (Pizza), Balaji Tharanithran (Naduvula Konjam Pakkathai Kaanaam), Ranjith (Attakathi), Alphonse Putharen (Neram) and Balaji Mohan (Kadhalil Sdhapuvadhu Epadi) were the invitees for the event and they released the single after watching it on the big screen at Sathyam.
The song was received very well with applause from the directors, and upon their request, there was
even a repeat screening of the song video.
The song video has been shot with a very different concept behind, and is fully based on the world of social network. It showcases how in today’s world, love is no longer a private affair and romantic moments are shared online for everyone to see and even comment on.
All the directors had a very positive response to the video and felt the song is definitely going to go
viral and will connect with the new generation.
The launch was followed by a very lively and friendly interaction over coffee at Ecstacy, the high end café at Sathyam Complex. Over the half hour event which has been recorded and will be shared online, the directors shared funny incidents from their life centred around the journey from engagement to marriage, just as is featured in the song, “Mella Sirithaai”.
The event was a huge success that celebrated the new culture of camaraderie between young
directors and the healthy trend of filmmakers admiring each other’s work and supporting and
appreciating each other’s films without ego.
Everest Entertainment’s Kalyana Samayal Saadham is a feel good romantic comedy
starring Prasanna and Lekha Washington. Written and directed by debutant R S Prasanna, the film is produced by Ananth Govindan and Arun Vaidyanathan, the producer-director team behind “Achchamundu Achchamundu.”
Kalyana Samayal Saadham is a new age comedy that takes a tongue-in-cheek look at how a modern day couple go through a roller coaster ride of Arranged Marriage. Starting from how they meet in the Internet Portal, to all the twists and turns until a surprise ending, the movie will have a lot of identification points for the youngsters of today.
R S Prasanna, the writer and director, is a Gold-Medal winning director from L V Prasad Film School. He had received the award from the hands of A R Rahman and K Balachander. He was an official invitee to both the Berlin Film Festival and Pusan Film Festival in the year 2009. R S Prasanna has made this film based on his observations about the mega event weddings play in everyone’s lives and how in India today, the youngsters have different expectations from their previous generation.
The movie’s post-production sound work is currently going on in Hollywood, with Kunal Rajan as
Sound Supervisor. He had wowed audiences with his Auro 3D sound for the blockbuster hit
of Kamal Haasan, Vishwaroopam. The final sound mix of the movie is going to be done at the legendary Warner Brother Studios, Los Angeles.
The movie is shot by Cinematographer Krishnan Vasant, who has worked as a 3D Camera expert in big budget Bollywood movies and has assisted the celebrated cinematographer Alphonse Roy. The film is edited by Sathyaraj and has Art direction by Aaarusamy.
The film has music by debutant Arrora, and the music rights have been bought by ThinkMusic, the label behind the highly succesfulnew age films like: Pizza, Soodhu Kavvum, Neram etc.
“Mella Sirithaai” is a song from the movie, which is being released as a Single across all media on
24th May 2013. The music video has a fresh presentation which the team is confident will strike a chord amongst the youngsters.
