Just a few days ago the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had released an autobiography of veteran actor Dev Anand titled ‘Romancing with Life,’ at the capital. This book had been released in various places including Mumbai and Calcutta. Romancing with Life recounts Dev Anand’s 62 years of experience in the film industry and is said to contain some really interesting news about his life.
The book was released in Chennai by noted actor Kamal Haasan in a function organised by Penguin Books and Taj Connemara Hotel.
While at the function, the actor turned nostalgic recounting his life during the freedom struggle and said that he considered that films acted as a platform to drive home social messages to the public.
Speaking at the function after releasing the book, actor Kamal said that he respected Dev Anand so much so that it made him cancel the shooting of his film Dasavatharam to attend the function.
