MUK at Cannes Film Festival
It was one of those rare instances where the south and north meet! At the Cannes international film festival 2012, Director &producer MRElred kumar met director & producer Anurag Kashyap. Mr Elred kumar was a part of the Marche du film, which is the buzzing film market held during the film festival. He was actively involved in various activities at the film market. He was invited for discussions on co- productions and other international projects.
MR Elred Kumar is a debut director and also a very successful producer in South India,whose company RS Infotainment has produced blockbusters such as Vinniyai Thanidi varuyaya, KO, MUK.
In a brief interaction at Cannes where both their films were screened, Director & producer Elred Kumar and Anurag Kashyap also had a discussion on jointly working on a hindi project.Mr Elred kumar has been invited to the producer’s network at Cannes international film festival this year.
After the overwhelming response to the screening of MUK at Cannes, there has been discussion on remaking MUK in European languages.
At present the company is producing its next film with Director Gautham vasudevmenon and other project is in pipeline with national award winner director Vetrimaaran.
