Says the Director, “The global response for our film trailer on YouTube encouraged me to explore a new area of distribution – Online Distribution. So, we tied up with FlickRocket, a German based Online Content Solution Provider, and used this new distribution platform for digital cinema – direct online distribution. Viewers can download and watch the film on a custom made DRM protected FluxPlayer as a pay per day rental. This, I believe, is the future of digital film distribution and so we decided to go global directly to the homes of our target audiences overseas”.

Synopsis
Mithivedi (Minefield) is a 90 minute Tamil Film (with English subtitles) about the landmines issue in Sri Lanka.
A young Tamil woman, Selvi, along with her infant child, flees her native village during the last stages of the ethnic war between the Srilankan Army and the LTTE in Sri Lanka.
While crossing the fields, Selvi finds herself stranded on a minefield. Right then, Asoka, a Srilankan Army Lieutenant, bisects her.
Asoka suspects Selvi to be a militant courier for the LTTE. But Selvi claims that she is just an innocent civilian trying to save her baby. The story unfolds in real time.
