Telecom service provider Airtel in association with Carnatica, an organisation involved in promoting music, will launch an album featuring different styles of music to commemorate World Peace Day falling on September 21. Airtel customers can access the content of the album using the short code 562637.
Special programmes have been scheduled for Friday at different venues, including Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan School, T.Nagar at 9 a.m., and M.O.P. Vaishnav College, Nungambakkam at 10 a.m. Carnatica Brothers K.N. Shashikiran and P. Ganesh will lead the programmes.
N. Murali, Managing Director of The Hindu and president of The Music Academy, will launch the music album at Narada Gana Sabha at 6 p.m. on Friday. U.S. Consul-General in Chennai David Hopper will receive the first copy. The launch will be followed by a special concert featuring senior artistes, including N. Ramani, N. Ravikiran, S. Sowmya, Anooradha Sriram and Sriram Parasuram.
