IBM India announced that it has begun operations in Bhopal, as part of its expansion plans to enter 14 new cities in the country. The Bhopal unit will cater specially to the unique requirements of the various SMB clients spread in the city and its neighboring markets.

IBM’s expansion plans will enable the company to strengthen its pan India foothold and is in line with its strategy to make India a truly global hub.

The company has so far begun operations in Coimbatore, Goa and Lucknow, and is slated to launch operations in Nashik, Nagpur, Surat, Bhubaneswar, Jamshedpur, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Dehradun, Vizag and Madurai. IBM expects to set new standards of excellency through the newly opened centers.
