Shankar, son of Uluthurpettai Shanmukham who wrote popular devotional song “Thirupathi malai vazhum venkatesha”, commenced a week long music tour across the globe on September 25 by performing a music prayer at Symphony Hall in UK.
It is the first time a Tamil musician is conducting a music concert at Symphony Hall which has a seating capacity of 3500.
His music troupe “Sadaka Paravaikal”, which performed over 7,000 shows so far, will also tour some major music destinations like France, Norway and Paris with his 19 unit members that include singers SB Balasubramaniyam, Karthik, Vijay Yesudas, Chitra, Anuraga Sreeram. The tour will conclude on October 4.
