Vijay TV’s ‘Kanaa Kaanum Kalangal’, a series on school life that is being aired from Monday to Thursday at 8 pm, is climbing up the rating charts with an average channel share of 16.4 per cent in Chennai (weeks 19-22; ABC 4+). Jaya TV and Raj TV procured shares of 2.7 per cent and 1.0 per cent respectively in the same markets.

In Tamil Nadu, the show is well ahead of competition in the same time band, procuring average channel shares of 16.2 per cent (weeks 19-22; ABC 15+F), against Jaya TV’s 3.3 per cent and Raj’s 1.0 per cent. The show had recorded its highest TVR of 7.7 in Chennai (week 22; ABC 15+F).

Launched in October 2006, the series completed its 100th episode in June this year, which was marked with a special episode. Vijay TV is also conducting auditions for the new faces who would be introduced in the forthcoming episodes of the show.
