The popular television in Tamil Nadu, Sun TV Network has roped in former Star India content and media president Ajay Vidyasagar as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) with immediate effect. The Sun TV network is promoted and managed by Kalanithi Maran.
Mr. Vidyasagar has more than twenty years experience in brand management as well as content creation and quit Star network in March 2009.
The Sun TV network group operates 20 television channels in the four south Indian languages, apart from 42 FM stations across the country. It also forayed into movie production and distribution last year with Kadhalil Vizhunthen and has distributed eight Kollywood movies so far. It is also producing Enthiran in which Rajinikantha and Aishwarya play the lead role.
