Chennai, April 28, 2010: Big Bazaar while complimenting the celebration of the Future Group “The Great Indian Shopping Festival” organized ‘Kitchen Queen’ cooking contest especially for its women customers at its Vadapalani outlet in Chennai.
‘Kitchen Queen’ cooking contest is the highlight of this week’s festival celebrations. ‘Kitchen Queen’ cooking contest is an exciting competition in association with ‘Pillsbury Atta’ wherein customers are asked to prepare any dish from ‘Pillsbury Atta’ and bring it to the Vadapalani store. The prizes include – 1st prize winner dinner for two at a 5 star hotel apart from attractive gifts for 2nd and 3rd winners as well. Every participant will additionally receive 1 kg of Pillsbury Atta free. Registrations began from 19th onwards and the winners will be declared on the 28th at the Vadapalani store.
Another exciting attraction is the celebration of Kids Carnival, the largest kids’ engagement program in the city. On this occasion, the store had announced that registrations for Singing, Dancing and Hunt for Special Talent have begun which will go on till 28th April and auditions will be held on 29th and 30th April. The Grand Finale of the same will be held on the 1st of May. The competition is open to various age-groups: 2 – 4 yrs, 4 to 6 yrs, 6 to 8 yrs and 8 to 10 yrs.
As a celebration exclusive towards women customers, Big Bazaar also has in store mehandi and makeover opportunities. There is also a ‘Mom & Kid’ fashion event that is being planned with gusto! Beauty fest and Food carnival will also be celebrated as a tribute to not only the southern cuisine but other cuisines as well.
“The Great Indian Shopping Festival” is a month long festival at Big Bazaar stores where the consumers can avail of exciting offers, great deals with discounts. Customers can also participate in- store activities and contests and win exciting prizes.
