Dr Kamal Hassan is the Chairman of FICCI’s ‘Media and Entertainment Business Conclave’ a two-day conclave, scheduled to be held on November 18 and 19 at Hotel Le Royal Meridien
This conclave would bring together members of the media and entertainment like movies, broadcast (TV and radio), digital entertainment, animation, gaming and visual effects and many more. The conclave has been organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(FICCI).
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M Karunanidhi would inaugurate the conclave and Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ambika Soni would deliver the keynote address.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamal said “The aim of the deliberations is to identify and seek readdress of issues facing the entertainment and performing arts industry.” The Tamil Nadu government is supporting the event with a grant of Rs 50 lakh. The other southern states are also ready to fund such events and the conclave will be held in Bangalore and Hyderabad in the coming years, he added.
