HINDUSTAN UNIVERSITY TIES UP WITH
DONGGUK UNIVERSITY, SOUTH KOREA
Chennai, 15th February 2010: Chennai-based Hindustan University today announced their tie-up with South Korea’s Dongguk University which will enable students of both the universities to avail of study programs in various streams … in India and in South Korea. This tie-up will enable students of India to study semi-conductors, engineering, management, multi-media among others at Dongguk University. Indian students can also opt to study aerospace and aviation management at Korea Aerospace University. Likewise, students from Korea can study various streams of engineering or humanities at Hindustan University.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr K Sarukesi, Vice Chancellor, Hindustan University stated : “The main objective of this MOU is to have larger academic co-operation between the two universities for exchange of students and staff … particularly the former for study and research. We are particularly impressed with the Semi Conductor Research Facility at Dongguk University, which is rated as the 4th best in the world. Likewise, the Center for Digital Image Networking and Multimedia Training at Dongguk University is ranked among the best in East Asia. Korea Aerospace University boasts of a highly ranked Aerospace Museum as also a Flight Simulator Lab, again points of high interest for students of aerospace. We are delighted to announce this tie-up with Dongguk University” he concluded.
Dr Mrs Elizabeth Verghese, Chancellor, Hindustan University hailed the tie-up of Hindustan University with Dongguk University. “Our Founder Dr KCG Verghese encouraged students to gain global exposure and launched several years ago a program titled “ Talk Your Way To Tokyo” … an all expenses paid trip to Tokyo, which enabled winners to gain insights into the world of academics and industrial exposure in Japan. This tie-up will enable interested students of Hindustan University to undergo unique summer internship programs lasting between 4-5 weeks. An extremely valuable proposition for students” Dr Elizabeth Verghese observed.
