Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) has launched an e-fuel campaign pinned on promoting clean fuels and transparency in business practices. K. Rajaraman, Commissioner, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, launched campaign at HPCL’s fully-owned-and-operated outlet at Saidapet.
He said the Civil Supplies Department had implemented web-enabled ration card management and GPS-based vehicle tracking system to monitor PDS kerosene truck movements. Mr. Rajaraman commissioned a ‘robot’ for concept of technology-driven automated fuelling process introduced by HPCL.
S.P. Chaudhry, HPCL Executive Director (Retail); R. Radhakrishnan, General Manager; and C. Ramakrishnan, Chief Regional Manager; were present.
HPCL’s e-fuel stations boast advanced features such as system-generated bill receipts, real time display of fuel density and card swipe facility on dispensers.
HPCL has launched e-fuel campaign at 15 city outlets and plans to set up the facility at 50 outlets in and around Chennai under the Retail Automation Programme this fiscal. Source: hindu
