Veteran music director M.S. Viswanathan launched ‘Confluence of elements’, a music album by Carnatic musician Bombay Jayashree Ramnath, here on Tuesday.
Brought out by SaReGaMa and Bangalore-based Synergy Images, a company working in areas such as digital animation and game development, the album features five famous compositions in five different languages.
Music director of the album Sai Shravanam, is a disciple of Ustad Zakhir Hussain. Elements of Hindustani and western music were blended with Carnatic compositions, he said. Synergy Images worked on the visual component of the audio-visual album.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Viswanathan said music was a blessing for mankind. “I am a student who is eager to know more about music,†he said. He commended the team on the effort.
Artists from different genres of music, including sarangi exponent Murad Ali, guitarist Keith Peters and mridangam artist D.A. Srinivas have played for the album.
