Aamir Khan’s father Tahir Hussain passes away at 79.
Film producer and actor Aamir Khan’s father, Tahir Husain, passed away early Tuesday morning following a massive cardiac arrest. He was 79 years old.
Hussain, who contributed a great deal to the Hindi film industry as a producer, writer and director, died of a cardiac arrest in Mumbai.
Hussain is known for producing hits like “Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke” (1993) that starred son Aamir, “Dulha Bikta Hai” (1982), “Zakhmee” (1975), “Anamika” (1973) and “Caravan” (1971).
Tahir is survived by his wife Zeenat, sons Aamir and Faisal and daughters Farhat and Nikhat.
Aamir and wife Kiran, who are in the US to attend the Sundance Film Festival, are expected to arrive by tomorrow after which the funeral will be held.
