Ekta Kapoor the producer for all happening Hindi Soaps is going to produce a Biographic film on yesteryear actress Silk Smitha. The movie will be titled Dirty Picture and will be directed by Milan Luthria.
The movie will be made in Hindi and probably later dubbed in other South Indian languages. The buzz is that Viday Balan will essay the role of Silk Smitha in the film.
Silk Smitha is one of the most popular name in South Indian Cinema. Born Vijaylakshmi she got her screen name ‘Silk Smitha’ after her character name in movie Vandi Chakkaram. She sensual portrayal in many of her movies led her to a lot of troubles with more producers offering her only lewd roles. This and her financial troubles led to her alcohol addiction and later her suicide in 1996.
