‘Newcomers have revived my career in tinsel town and I am really grateful to them’ – it was a novel gratitude rendered by Karan today evening. Aye! It all happened this evening at the audio launch of Karan’s forthcoming flick ‘Malayan’. It was a star-studded occasion with top-charting auteurs of Kollywood taking part.
Producer KRG, Directors K.S. Ravikumar, Praveen Kanth, Anbalaya Prabhakaran, A.R. Murugadoss, Lyricist Sneghan, Director Prabhu Solomon, Director Rajesh of Siva Manasula Sakthi fame, Producer Muralidharan, Producer Kaja Mohideen, S.A. Chandrasekar, Actress Shamu, Kattradhu Tamizh fame Anjali and many others were present there.
Actor Karan posed as a perfect host with a pleasant speech. The highlighting part was about his gesture of thanking newcomers who offered him a new-birth in filmdom as a hero.
Gopi who makes his debut directorial with this flick was once an-associate of Praveen Kanth.
Veteran Ace Filmmaker S.A. Chandrasekar felicitated the entire crew and later turned over to render a small speech.
“Victory can be easily accomplished by few, but it really matter a whole lot struggle and hard work for many… Certainly, Karan is off that second sort who has strived a lot and finally hit the bull’s eye”. Also congratulated his protégé Gopi that he will fly with successful colors like Rajesh who stunned with his debut ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’….
Here are some of the excerpts by Karan… “Malayan is a good-hearted man with more courage, kindness and of course a Real Tamilian by thoughts and practices. The film is all about series of events that takes place around him. Gopi has been wordlessly stupendous in directorial skills and I earnestly thank him for having opted me for his innovative conceptualizations”.
Director K.S. Ravikumar had more words of appraisals on Actress Shamu. “When I was in urgent need of an artist to enact the scientist’s role in Dasavatharam, Shamu appeared to the situation. In fact, I mentioned that she would be merely appearing in just couple of shots. But this fille excelled with an exceptional performance on her part adding more flavors to that emotional sequence of monkey getting deteriorated.” The actress has already won laurels for her best performance in Priyadarshan’s ‘Kanchivaram’ and Duet Movies’ forthcoming flick ‘Mayilu’…
A.R. Murugadoss on his turn added that he has been a close paisano of Director Gopi right from the days when they were assisting Praveen Kanth. ‘Gopi was a hard working person and I am sure you can’t find such an innocent smiling face in Chennai like him. Well about Karan, he used to keep hunting for chances in films with his two wheeler… His growth has been a great inspiration to many young aspiring actors”.
The entire team of celebrities launched the Audio Album of ‘Malayan’ that was received by Devi Mani who represented Media Channels.
Three songs (Intro, Romantic Duet and a wedlock-engagement number) along with trailer were screened.
The album has 5 songs with different styles tuned by Dheena… Sridhar who cranked camera for Karan’s ‘Karuppasamy Kuthagaitharar’ handles cinematography and a new-lyricist Paul Raj has penned lyrics.
