HACKENSACK, New Jersey, September 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Ness Technologies, Inc. , a global provider of IT services and solutions, today announced that it has been ranked as one of India’s Top 20 Best IT Employers by India’s Dataquest magazine and IDC (DQ-IDC) in the 2007 annual IT Best Employers Survey.
The DQ-IDC annual survey was designed and carried out in two phases: an HR survey and an employee satisfaction survey. The composite scores of the HR and employee satisfaction surveys ranked Ness Technologies in the DQ-IDC’s Top 20 Best Employers in India. The survey was conducted across the seven major cities of Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Pune.
The first phase comprised an HR survey seeking information from 300 IT companies with operations in India on employee strength, training days, tenure of the top managers, salary increases, revenue growth over the years and employee attrition levels. The DQ-IDC HR survey shortlisted 33 companies in the first phase.
The second phase comprised an employee satisfaction survey carried out among 2,844 employees. The sampling was done on the basis of the distribution of employees in different cities capturing the broad parameters of composite satisfaction, company culture, job content, growth, training, salary & compensation, appraisal systems and people.
Based on the overall results of both phases, the top 20 IT employers were determined – including Ness Technologies.
“We are very pleased that Ness Technologies has been recognized as one of the top twenty best IT employers in India,” said Sachi Gerlitz, President and CEO of Ness Technologies. “This recognition, on top of the underlying excellence which earned it, will further help us attract and retain talented and motivated professionals as we continue to grow and expand.”
“It’s very heartening to be ranked among DQ-IDC Top 20 Best Employers, the best testimonial for Ness’ employee focus,” said Sudhir Saran Singh, Vice President, Human Resources, Ness Technologies India. “Our focus on countering the challenges of scaling through innovative and best HR practices – and our endeavor in creating a culture that is transparent, open and vibrant to achieve both employee and client satisfaction – has propelled us into this status.”
Ness Technologies focuses on raising employee satisfaction globally and is considered an outstanding employer in other countries as well.
Ness Technologies has approximately 2,300 employees in India, in offshore centers located in Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai. Ness’ offshore centers house outsourced software R&D labs (Managed Labs) for about 40 independent software vendors (ISVs), high tech firms and life sciences companies; IT and business processing outsourcing services for Financial Services companies; as well as applications development, maintenance and support for information technology and information systems organizations.
