Aim of the channel is to spread world peace

Chairman of the National Commission for Backward Classes S. Ratnavel Pandian launched Brindavan Television, a 24-hour spiritual channel in Tamil, here on Monday.
Mr. Pandian said it was heartening that a spiritual channel, available in a few other languages, was being launched in Tamil as well. He wished the crew success.
Tie-up with VSNL
The channel, which has a tie-up with VSNL, is headquartered in Chennai and has branches in Mumbai and New Delhi.
The aim of the channel was to spread world peace, a spokesperson of Brindavan Television said.
It would feature pujas, lectures, astrology, yoga, meditation, history of various places of worship, mythological stories, vasthu shastra and properties of gem stones.
Music director Shankar Ganesh, film director C.V. Rajendran, Canara Bank zonal office general manager R. Prabha and the channels chairman and managing director Madan Ram were present.
