SIDMM formation is the acknowledgement of SIMCA (South India Music Companies Association) to various technical advancements taking place in Music industry from erstwhile EP & LP records to todays digital & Mobile downloads. The catalogue hosted by SIDMM also comprises of all time and greatest hits of music maestro “Isaignani Ilayaraja”, Super hits of super heroes for over three decades from Films and evergreen Devotional, folk and Classical numbers in thousands and scores.
SIDMM stresses, Music is not FREE. As per Copyright Act 1957, use of music in any format for commercial gains is licensable , be it downloading from sites or transfers to mobile handsets. To regulate this, so-far unauthorized business, SIDMM is launching “Cell Muzik – Bank of Music” targeting the mobile stores across markets, starting with Tamil Nadu. We have identified the scope during market survey since Janurary 2011. Within next three months we would expand to Kerala as well.
SIDMM’s Cell Muzik is all set for launch this week. Alerting all mobile retail outlets who are in the business of recording music into mobile chips starting from small format shops to large format Stores & Chains, Cell Muzik is advisable and if not obtained it is punishable under Copyright Act 1957. So, SIDMM’s Cell Muzik is a protection to Mobile retail outlets and enables a peaceful Business transaction throughout the year. SIDMM have plans to continue this support while also refreshing the Content and Marketing.
SIDMM’s Cell Muzik license is available for a very nominal Annual License Fee (Starting from Rs 1250 per
