Kamal Haasan’s next film, a trilingual for which the title of Sabash Naidu.
‘Sabash Naidu’ will see Kamal Haasan joining hands with well-known Malayalam filmmaker T K Rajeev Kumar after a period of over two decades, when the duo gave the critically acclaimed ‘Chanakyan,’ a revenge saga. The film, being directed by Rajeev Kumar, with whom Kamal will be working after 25 years, will have Shruthi Haasan playing Kamal’s daughter. Also, Kamal’s second daughter, Akshara, will work as an assistant director in this film. Ace musiciam Ilayaraja will score the tunes while Haasan will handle the story and script. Shukla will pen the dialogues for the Hindi version, titled ‘Sabash Kundu.’
Addressing the media after the launch, Kamal said Sabash Naidu, which will be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, will be titled Sabash Kundu.
At the event, Kamal revealed that the team will be leaving for the US on May 14 for the shoot and that 85% of the film will be shot there.
The film will have Bobby King handling the stunts and the choreographers of Step Up 2 (2008) working on some of the dance sequences Shruthi Haasan will be seen in. Earlier, Kamal paid `2.5 lakh as rent for the premises, and the producers of the film, Lyca, donated `1 crore towards the construction of the Nadigar Sangam building.
