Director A L Vijay has finalised the cast of his next film. t has been officially confirmed that Amala Paul would be the leading lady of Vijay’s next movie.
Vijay confirms, “Yes, Amala will be seen playing the female lead in the film. We are working towards finalising the rest of the cast.”
While Amala has earlier worked with the director in his Deiva Thiirumagal, this is the first time she will be pairing up with the Ilayathalapathy. The shooting for the film will commence post Deepavali.
While Yami Gautam was touted to play the leading lady, looks like date issues caused her to not sign this on. While Amala was auditioned earlier, they didn’t sign her on due to date issues. But it looks like her dates have been worked out with Puri Jagannadh and she can fit in this project.
GV Prakash Kumar will compose the music, while cinematography will be by Nirav Shah. Antony is the editor, Na Muthukumar will take care of lyrics and art direction is by RK Nagaraj.
Sunil Chandra Prakash Jain, who’s co-producing the flick, informs, “Depending on the climatic condition, we will either start our first schedule in Mumbai or in foreign locales. While Amala is the only female lead, we will be casting a newcomer in an interesting role.”
