A city civil court here has restrained Makkal TV from broadcasting a teleserial on forest brigand M. Veerappan.
An interim order to this effect was passed by the VIII Assistant City Civil Judge, K. Arul, on a petition filed by Veerappan’s wife, V. Muthulakshmi. The Judge then adjourned the matter to September 14 for further proceedings.
Seeking a permanent injunction restraining the Makkal Tholai Thodarbu Kuzhumam from publishing or telecasting the serial ‘Maaveeran Veerappan,’ the petitioner said it would put the studies and future of herself and her children to irreparable loss and hardship.
