Naam Foundation In Association With Cadd Center
Announces Its First Premier Fundraiser –Ra.One
At Sathyam Cinemas on October 25, 2011, 10 PM
Chennai, October 25, 2011: Naam Foundation, a women support group endeavouring to improve the quality of life of the underprivileged single destitute women along with CADD Center, provider of CAD Systems and Solutions, is holding a special premier screening of the most awaited flick of 2011, RA.One, starring actor Shah Rukh Khan, at Sathyam Cinemas.
Spearheaded by Ms. Suhasini Maniratnam (Actor & Director), the foundation is powered by a group of equally enthusiastic, mission-driven and socially responsible women from various industries. Maniratnam is the other director of naam foundation
Speaking on the eve of the fundraiser, Ms. Suhasini Maniratnam said “Ra.One, is our first big initiative as a fundraiser and the proceeds of the premier will go towards funding the college education of the children and health of these under privileged single women”.
Thanking CADD Centre for the generous support through sponsorship and Shah Rukh Khan for readily giving consent for an exclusive premier, Ms. Suhasini said “We are happy and excited that this is the only premier screening of Ra.One in India and it is being done in aid of Naam Foundation. Going forward too, Naam Foundation solicits CADD Center’s continued patronage in bridging such social inequalities and building an inclusive society for single women.”
Parthasarathy, Chairman and Managing Director of CADD Centre, said that his organisation derived happiness in supporting a social cause and congratulated Ms. Suhasini and her team for doing such a wonderful work.
Ra.One is Shahrukh Khan’s most ambitious sci-fi super hero film and the most expensive one that he has ever produced and acted in till date. The promotional budget is 4 to 5 times bigger than the actual production of the film.

Naam, so far has helped empower about 157 women and 151 children in both Chennai and Virudhunagar, over the last 1-1/2 years. Based on their individual requirements Naam supports them with educational aids for their children, provides medical assistance, better job and self-employment opportunities through counseling & skills training, so that they can look forward to a future of hope and advancement.
