Sun Pictures has clarified that the rights for the Telugu version of the movie has not been sold. Media was earlier abuzz that the Telugu rights for the movie which is to be titled Robo in Telugu has been sold to Tirumala Tirupati Venkateswara Films for Rs. 27 crores.
When Sun Pictures launched an investigation it was uncovered that two people Surendran and Udayakumar had sold the distribution rights by faking the documents. Sun Pictures has filed a complaint against the duo.
The film will be released this September in Tamil as Endhiran and as Robot in Hindi.
