Two days after J Jayalalithaa breathed her last, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s long time confidante Cho Ramaswamy , political commentator, theatre personality and editor of Thuglak, a Tamil magazine known for its withering satire and fearless criticism of political figures, died in Chennai, 3.58 AM on Wednesday morningdue to cardiac arrest.

Cho Ramaswamy was 82 and is survived by his wife, son and daughter. A veteran journalist, former Rajya Sabha member and political commentator, the 82-year-old was admitted to the Apollo hospital in the city last week and was shifted to the ICU on Saturday after complains of chest pain.
