The book “The name is Rajinikanth” which is a biography of Superstar Rajinikanth is making waves. There are intresting anecdote’s in the book which makes everyone understand the deeper personality of the superstar.

One such intresting anecdote is how Shivaji Rao got to be called as Rajinikanth. His mentor Balachander wanted a nice screen name for Rajini since Shivaji was already the name of the wellknown Nadigar Thilagam, and he said, “I wrote a drama called ‘Chandrakanth’. There are two characters in the drama. One is Srikanth and the other is Rajani Kanth. I have already named someone as Srikanth. Will you be Rajani Kanth from now onwards?” Then Sivaji Rao Gaekwad agreed for that and changed the name as RajaniKanth and Rajinikanth went on to create history.

The biography also mentions another anecdote in which the actor surprised the late Kannada superstar Raj Kumar by posing as a Godman from Kasi. Raj Kumar have just had a happy reunion with his family after undergoing an ordeal of being held captive by forest brigand Veerappan in 2000, when he was informed about the arrival of the Godman. He was stunned when the Godman reeled out intimate details, known only to a select few, about some of the events during his confinement, the book said. Bursting into laughter, the Godman removed his disguise. It was Rajnikanth who had managed to sneak into Raj Kumar’s house, despite heavy security.

Another intresting incident is about the most cherished Rs.10 note that the Tamil superstar Rajinikanth got when he went to a temple in disguise in real life. The superstar, who visited a temple in Bangalore in the guise of a humble old man, was mistaken for a beggar by a woman, who gave him Rs 10. Later to the surprise of the women, the old man dropped a Rs.100 note in the hundi and got into a posh car. The actor kept the money with him so as to remember that God wanted to remind him that he is nothing but a mere beggar at God’s altar.
