The team of all Tamil Movie Directors Sangam met today and decided to show their support for the World Classical Tamil Conferance that is being organised by the Tamil Nadu State Government in June 2010 at Coimbatore.
They also decided to stage a historical play, scripted, directed and enacted by Kollywood directors. They have also welcomed actors to be a part of that play. The theme, story and other details of the play is yet to be decided.
Also a few leading directors would make short 5-minute videos showing the highlights of the World Classical Meet, which would be screened during the intermission time of screening of Tamil films in theatres. This is done to highlight the effort taken by Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi in the growth of Tamil.
Last week, members of the Tamil Film Producers Council, Film Employees Federation of South India and South Indian Artistes Association expressed willingness to support the Meet through cultural events.
