Mani Rathnam who is in the final stages of completing his movie Raavan has shot a scene with Vikram and Aishwarya where a blast takes place in midair before it lands on the ground.
This was done with the help of stunt director Sham Kaushal who was able to execute the scene of the blast with both Aishwarya and Vikram in the frame. For this a petrol bomb was used which was to be hurled from a distance of 25 feet and it would burst just 15 feet from where the stars were. This was a risky shot and Mani applauded the actors as well as the action director for pulling it through.
The blast was inspired by a real life incident of Mani in 1995 when he escaped a midair blast during the release of his movie Bombay.
