Today, Friday November 30 sees a clash of 4 movies Oram Po, Rameshwaram, Onbathu Rupa Note and Kelvikuri post the Deepavali releases.
Oram Po
Oram Po previously titled Auto is a forthcoming Tamil movie starring Arya and Pooja. The film is directed by debutants Pushkar and Gayatri and is produced by V.Palanivel and A.C.Anandan for A.P. Film Garden. G.V. Prakash Kumar of Veyyil fame is the music director. Arya has trimmed down and sports a new look for the movie, where he plays the role of an auto driver. Giving him company is Pooja. She plays the role of a biriyani vendor. After Ullam Ketkume, these two have come together for OramPo.
This movie’s script exposes the life of an average auto driver, who has a lot of dreams and ambitions like everyone else. It also talks about the auto drivers views about the public’s complaints about their approach, personality, cheating etc.

Rameshwaram
Rameshwaram movie starring Jeeva and Bhavana in the lead dwells on romance between a Lankan refugee and a daughter of a rich landlord in Rameshwaram. The ethnic issue in Sri Lanka forms the backdrop. With a tanned look and long hair, Jeeva fits the role of a Lankan refugee well. Bhavana plays a bubbly young girl, who runs around romancing Jeeva. Lal, Bose Venkat and Manivannan also form part of the cast.
The movie revolves aroung Jeeva, a native of Jaffna, seeking refugee on Rameshwaram coast with his grandfather Manivannan. A rich and an influential man in the village Lal provides them shelter. Jeeva wins the compassion of Bhavana, Lal’s daughterand she slowly falls in love with him. But trouble enters in the form of Bose Venkat, a tough policeman in Rameshwaram whose wedding is arranged with Bhavana. False cases are imposed against Jeeva and he is targeted for loving Bhavana. Does he manage to overcome all odds? Does he get to marry Bhavana forms the rest of the story.

Onbathu Rupai Nottu
Thangar Bachchan’s Onbathu Roopai Nottu would be a movie to lookout for since Sathyaraj is said to be brilliant in the movie.
The story of Onbadhu Roobai Note revolves around the life and times of Madhava Padayachi(Sathya Raj) an absolutely honest and hard working farmer who will do anything for others and heads a joint family. His wife Velayi (Archana) is his pillar of strength, but his sons, daughters and other relatives does not approve of his large hearted nature especially in money matters. And a close relative Dandapani (dance director Shivashankar in a loin cloth) turns his children against him. One day he gets humiliated by his children and on the spur of the moment leaves home in the company of his loyal wife. A dejected Madhavar facing all odds manages to reach his long time friend’s Hajabhai (Nasser) and his wife Kameela (Rohini) home and Hajabhai, hearing their story, asks Madhavar to look after his poultry farm nearby. Do Madhavar and Velayi go back to their hometown or do the sons come forward in looking for them is well conveyed in the movie.
The music score has been done by Bharathwaj and the song ‘Marghazhi’ is melodious. The reason for growing nuclear families and the increasing old age homes has been neatly conveyed through Onbathu Roopai Nottu directed by Thankar Bachan. The director has managed to convey a strong message and has tried his best in doing that on the big screen.

Kelvi Kuri
There is no high expectation for new director hero Jailani’s Kelvikuri. This movie features Jailani, Preethi Varma and Sona in the lead roles. The special feature about this movie is that it doesn’t have any songs in the ideal Indian movie style. The background music is scored by Sathyaprasad.
The kelvicuri story is based on a young couple’s struggle, who as a result of a mistake are brought to the police station. The wife dies there in the lock-up and the police hide the fact. The angry husband barges into the Commissioner’s house and takes the Commissioner and family hostage. The errant police officers are brought to the Commissioner’s house and punished.
