Abhishek and Aishwarya come together for the first time ever in the new ‘Lux’ commercial
Bollywood’s Power couple star in the ad for Lux’s all new range of soaps with beauty oils
Mumbai, October 27, 2009: ‘Lux’, the brand synonymous with beauty and film stars has created history by bringing together the Power Couple of Bollywood – Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan together for the first time ever on television in the new ‘Lux’ commercial.
The new Lux ad has been directed by Stephen Mead from the London-based ad film production house Short Films. The Sufi inspired music score has been composed by none other than the melodic trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy. The couple has been styled by leading fashion designer Aki Narula with make-up done by Mickey Contractor.
The new range of Lux beauty soaps – ‘Lux Strawberry & Cream’ and ‘Lux Peach & Cream’ is now enriched with the essence of ‘Beauty Oils’ that nourish the skin and makes it soft and smooth.
Talking about her long standing association with Lux, Bollywood Diva, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said, “I have been associated with Lux for past 10 years as a Global Brand Ambassador and this association holds a very special place in my heart. Shooting with Abhishek makes this ad all the more special as it’s our first commercial together and we had a great time shooting for it.”
Commenting on the occasion, Abhishek Bachchan said, “We are happy and proud of the fact that we have done our first ever commercial for Lux. When we decided to do something for the first time together, it had to be special and stand for all the things that we believed in. The script drew me to the commercial and I liked the way Ash and my parts were incorporated – mischievous, soft and fun which brought out the vibes in the relationship that we share.”
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sudhanshu Vats, VP, Home Care & Skin Cleansing, HUL said, “Lux relaunch promises to give the consumers a never before luxurious bathing experience through a creamier lather leaving their skin soft and smooth. We have made improvements to every element of the mix – product, packaging and fragrance. Significant investment has gone into the product which contains ‘fragranced beauty oils’.
